The crown jewel of Nobu Restaurants, Doha offers stunning architecture and panoramic views of the Persian Gulf. We took this as a challenge to create something equally arresting – no small task.

We decided to create an immersive, dynamic piece. On an 65’ x 12’ backdrop behind Doha’s spiral staircase, curved pieces of suspended porcelain seem to float, as if defying the laws of gravity.

Some of the pieces are enhanced with geometric patterns of gold, causing bright flashes as they catch the light.

Inspired by marine and sky, the effect is striking.
